Chinese Tools
Aids in learning the language and improving pronunciation
The following tools are provided as-is, and no warrantee is implied. However, if you find problems, I would like to hear about it. You are welcome to email me with issues or suggestions. Due to the fact that these contain audio files, some of the tools may take a while to download.
- Searchable Chinese dictionary. (1.5M) This dictionary opens in Microsoft Excel. The blue definitions are Theocratic terms compiled by someone else. The red definitions are from CEDICT, a downloadable Chinese dictionary from the internet.

- Phrase Builder. (28.9M!) A program I wrote to hear how Chinese is supposed to sound. Phrases are entered in Pinyin. Any phrase length can be entered if you have the patience. The audio files came from a professor in California. (If the Phrase Builder program doesn't work by double clicking on it, then you may have to run the installer to install components for Visual Basic. After the install is finished, you must copy the 26 directories of audio into the directory created by the installer. Need help? Email me). Instructions for use can be found here.

- Chinese Bible Books. (13.2M) A program I wrote to hear how the Bible Books are pronounced, and see the Chinese characters for each book.

I hope these are useful in your many-year quest to become fluent!
